Jessi's Birthday Celebration and more

ok, so at least i'm making it a weekly thing. That's better than a monthly thing, or a hardly ever thing at all. So this past week Jessica came home from college and it was her birthday weekend, so let's recap.

Thursday:
Jess came home! We were supposed to go out to Menage on Thursday night, but Jess decided she wanted to stay home and watch Grey's instead (which by the way was really good.. as usual! I mean Haan's kiss with Callie, McSteamy's whorish ways are back, and I feel like something big is about to happen with Derek and Meredith again...oh and Rebecca/Eva and Alex, that's a sad story). Well at least she knows her priorities :)

Friday:
Jessi and Vernon spent the day with TJ. TJ and Vernon are bffs for reals. I mean, how can you deny their friendship... We had lunch together, and then Jess and Vernon took TJ to Kidspace and the played in the playground and everything. So cute! And then that night Jess and I went to Universal City walk in Hollywood for part I of her birthday celebration. We started at the Rhumba Room thinking it would be fun. It was sooo flippin' hot in there. It was a Latin dancing club. We thought it would be a fun change.. yah, um... right. Then finally, Vernon and his cousin met us in Hollywood and suggested we go to Saddle Ranch instead. Now Jess and I were way overdressed for this bar, but it was a blast anyway. There was a mechanical bull and we so wanted to ride, but we figured it would be slightly inappropriate in our little black dresses...

Saturday:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESSICA!!
We both woke up late.. i was ever-so-slightly hung over... not a good look. So we slugged around for a little bit. Then finally we wen
t shopping with mom like we had planned the whole morning, but we didn't end up leaving until 12ish. Well we got new dresses. I bought myself this new dress. Cute huh!? After shopping we had to run and pick up the food and the cake for the party we were having for her with our family at our house. It was crazy! All our family was at this party. It was a bonified Fam-Bam. I, however, was not feeling well. It wasn't because I was ever-so-slightly hung over either. I was running a fever. I had cold sweats on a 100+degree day. That's never a good sign. I so slept for the second half of the party. I woke up just in time to get ready to go out for Part II of Jess' birthday celebration. This time we went to Old Town Pasadena to our fav spot E's. It was not as full as usual, but we still managed to have a great time! It was me, Jess, Vernon, and Vernon's best friend Jason. So we had a good time!

Sunday:
Was yet another busy day...
I went to Janet's Bridal Shower and the rest of the family went to Jackie's graduation celebration. It was fun. Another scortching day out though. But fun nonetheless. Then after was the usual church.

Monday:
Nothing really to report... missed Greek, as usual....No more Hills to watch either.

Tuesday:
Nothing to report again. Dancing with the stars finale was on. Yay Kristie Yamaguchi! But I didn't even follow the show that hard.... Although I though Jason Taylor was a very handsome fellow who was great on his feet.
Oh, Jessica did leave for New Jersey (yes Dirty Jersey) to visit her best friend from college who is transferring to a different school next school year. So she went out there to hang out with her before she started her school again. Poor Jess was stuck in Atlanta for hours (bc that's where her layover was). There was a thunderstorm with lost of lightening and she arrived in Newark, NJ about 6 hours later than her original flight. What sucks more is she was stuck in the plane, on the runway for at least 2.5 hours and they would give anyone food or anything... meanies! Well now she's safe and sound in NJ. She won't be back home until late nest Wednesday night.

Wednesday:
Volleyball night! I was excited about it all day.. but when I got to the gym, there was hardly anyone there. I figured it was because of the Lakers Game. Game I of the Western Conference championships against the Spurs... the ugly Spurs. It was an exciting game. We were down by 20 in the 3rd and came back to win by 2 points or so. I love LA!
Well that was the highlight of the night because volleyball was quite the disappointment. I lost all of my games again. Ugh! Whatever... at least it's volleyball.

So then that brings us up to date. I'm so excited about the two hour Grey's Season Finale! It's supposed to be really REALLY good! So that should do it for now. Until next time (or next week... or sooner :p)
